China Glaze Holly-day under Essie Shine Of The Times

fun day today! found the two 2011 Zoya holiday sets at a local salon AND i called Oceana NEX (Virginia Beach)... they have in OPI's Holland collection! if you live around here head over there now... they only got in two sets. i bought one whole set, so there is only one of each color left! seems like someone in ordering messed up big time. i'm super excited to swatch it all... check out the teaser display photo at the end of this post!

today we are looking at China Glaze Holly-Day and Essie Shine Of The Times (the crown jewel of the Luxeffects collection!). this manicure was created by one of my best friends... so all the credit goes to her! H-D is a green that looks just like a Christmas tree. the color is really rich and saturated and the formula is great, two coats for full coverage. SOTT is extremely reminicient of Finger Paints Flashy, but with FAR more glittery particles... it is almost completely full coverage at one coat! my one complaint is that it eats topcoat like crazy. it's definitely beautiful and i'm so glad to have it, but i wish it was easier to make it super glossy!

one coat Seche Base, two coats H-D, one coat Seche Vite.

one coat SOTT, two coats Seche Vite.

it was tempting to add more coats of SV... but i was worried it would cause the polish to shrink back from the nail tips. i highly recommend the whole Luxeffects collection, it's an easy way to stretch a manicure another day or two once you're tired of the base color. AND it's all gorgeous!

here's the display from OPI's Holland collection! excuse the low resolution, i took it with my cell phone.

gorgeous, right?! i'm going to start swatching on nail wheels right now... Ria :)

  1. suprisingly no, the only flower name is Kiss Me On My Tulips... i was tempted not to buy it because it sounds so naughty!
