today's polish is Sally Hansen complete Salon Manicure Right Said Red... i saw this one on clearance at Ulta and didn't pick it up... and have been lemming it ever since. so, i finally just went ahead and bought it! it's a gorgeous, gorgeous cream red that's almost walking the jelly line. i think because of that, the formula is a bit sheer. i went ahead with three coats, but two probably would have been okay... i just felt like you could see a slight bit of nail line at two. if you look incredibly closely, you can slightly see the nail line at three coats... what can i say, i'm seriously OCD. seriously. if you have short nails, two coats would be utter perfection. the color is so bright... it's like a power red. red nails always improve my mood somehow, it's like tough girl attitude in a bottle! :D like most Sally Hansen Salon polishes, this one dried shiny enough to not need a topcoat, but i added one to seal it off.
one coat Seche Base, three coats RSR, one coat Seche Vite.
i hope you all are having a relaxing, fun weekend! Ria :)
Hm'd & hawed over this one since painting a thumbnail with it earlier in the week .. after 5 days with just the one nail painted RSR and picking it up & putting it down again in the shop, I finally succumbed today .. can't wait to paint all 10 toenails with it, and once a friend's wedding is over tomorrow night (buff natural nails with hot pink dress), it may go on all 10 fingernails ... I only had one coat on so yes it's sheer to the point of being almost hot pink .. it's verrrry flattering to skin tone, I don't mind just wearing the one coat on toes but 2 coats will go on fingers :)
ReplyDeletei'm so glad you like it! i love it when polishes are versatile like that :D
