Zoya Arizona

the culture shock continues! the prices in restaurants here are insane. i nearly fainted today when the check at a local Italian place was $70... for two entrees, two desserts, one salad, one drink... o.O wow! in other news, i found a great used bookstore today that lets you bring your dogs in with you... doesn't get better than that :D

the final polish review from Zoya's Beach collection is Arizona... the real orange of the collection! you may remember i mistakenly picked up Zoya Jancyn... it was in the Beach display, too bad i didn't check the label! these oranges are quite similar in color and formula. Arizona is slightly more opaque, but i do feel it looks its best at three coats. (my pointer finger has an extra coat because i somehow got a black fiber stuck in it... grrr!) the swatchies of these polishes look pretty dead on, but in person Arizona is softer and slightly less saturated than Jancyn. i actually think Jancyn fits in better with the rest of the Beach collection!

one coat Orly Nailtrition, three coats Arizona (four on pointer!), one coat Seche Vite.

i can't believe how long it's taken me to get through six polishes... that's what travelling does to me! coming up soon will be the sister collection, Zoya Surf! i feel like the Beach collection should have been named the Sand collection... doesn't Sand and Surf just sound right together?? Ria :)

  1. I recently got the whole Beach and Surf collection and was pretty Arizona was very close to Jancyn, but I only just put them together today. Wow...nearly identical. Arizona is a touch lighter and yellower but most people wouldn't notice a difference. If I'd realized how close they are, I might not have gotten Arizona, but I'm glad. Jancyn is my favorite polish, and now I have a backup. (And I agree about the names, except I'd visualize Sand as something glittery. Perhaps there should have been a third set of sheer/clear coordinating glitters.)
