Nicole by OPI A Gold Winter's Night

today was bizarre... two of out fire alarms started going off and wouldn't stop! we changed the batteries... nothing. they are hard wired into our electricity, the batteries are just back up... so we just couldn't make them stop! and the dogs freaked, Jewels sat under and howled/screamed... quite the madhouse for awhile. finally, one of the apartment's maintenance men came to fix it. he was able to get it to stop beeping, thank goodness! he the reason they went off is because it's too hot... we're like... well, we don't have air conditioning, what are we supposed to do?! no answer. i guess since it's almost always temperate around here, no one is prepared for contingencies? goodness.

today's polish is Nicole by OPI A Gold Winter's Night. i recently picked it up at Target, it's one of the Target exclusives! i put it over my Sation Midtown Haze mani, but i wasn't as in love with the two together as i thought i'd be. so i put on an extra coat of Winter's Night to mostly cover Midtown Haze. it's quite opaque, so two coats gives awesome coverage! it's made up of gold and green iridescent bar glitter and pink microglitter... it was a combo i just couldn't leave at the store! it dries really rough and scratchy, so you'll need at least one coat of topcoat to smooth it out and shine it up :)

Sation Midtown Haze mani, two coat Winter's Night, one coat Seche Vite.

the gold bar glitter is way more obvious than it seems in this picture!

i hope you've all had a Happy Monday! Ria :)

  2. I've never heard of fire alarms going off because it was too hot. Pretty polish though!
