Essence Party Princess

i just placed my order for the 3 free polishes Zoya promo! i got Adina, Indigo, and Yasmeen :) i just couldn't pass up on a deal like that! today my mom, brother, and i wandered Pacific Grove and Lover's Point, then had a scrumptious lunch on the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey... awesome day.

i've been so excited to try out this polish ever since i bought it in Phoenix! it's Essence Party Princess, an iridescent glitter suspended in a sheer pink jelly base. YUM. i used a neutral polish yesterday (Sally Hansen complete Salon Manicure Ion) and that mani made a perfect base for this one. on its own, it would be difficult to get this one fully opaque... so, if you don't like VNL, you'll definitely need a base! i used two coats to really the true hot pink of the base to show up. it was easy to work with, the glitter particles spread out evenly across the nail without much effort. on a couple nails i did have to try a little harder to make sure the base color didn't pool and end up a bit darker in places. it dries fairly dull, so you'll need at least one coat of topcoat!

two coats Party Princess, one coat Seche Vite, all over Sally Hansen complete Salon Manicure Ion mani.

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Ria :)

  1. I just got this polish in a swap and wasn't sure how I was going to use it! Now I have a good idea to put it over a neutral color instead of a pink. :)

i'd love to hear from you guys! let me know if you have any questions or advice :)
