Julep Simone

i just saw the weather reports are calling for rain this week... i sincerely hope they are wrong! my first horse show is coming up in a couple weeks and i definitely need the practice time. crossing my fingers and toes that the next couple weeks are as beautiful as last week!

i was loving Julep Simone in the bottle from my March Maven box that i received yesterday... so, i couldn't wait to go ahead and put in on. as i feared, the beautiful reflex that can be seen so clearly in the bottle is extremely faint on the nail... only seen in bright light at the perfect angle. Simone is a warm lavender creme, the hint of blue shimmer reflex gives it added depth. the color really is beautiful, if not the most innovative. the formula is pretty good, opaque in two coats... my complaint would be dry time. it needs topcoat to be shiny and to help it dry. i tried using the Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat... i'm not loving it. it dries really quickly, but it doesn't seem to help dry the polish under it... it also doesn't dry super shiny like Seche Vite does. i will be doing a more in depth review later!

two coats Simone, one coat Freedom Polymer Top Coat.

i hope that you all have had a great weekend and are refreshed for the new week! Ria :)
