Orly Heat Wave

well, the decision on whether or not to chop my nails was taken out my... hands (sorry, had to!)... i was just walking around my apartment, i looked down and realized my middle fingernail on my swatch hand had ripped off down to the pink! i have no idea how it happened, i didn't even feel it. weird, huh? so i went ahead and took them all really short, get a fresh start on growing them out. i feel like i can only have my nails long for a certain amount of time before they start busting off left and right... i'm not sure why!

today's polish is Orly Heat Wave... it's a shimmer filled sheer orange that's really sparkly! i'm not sure how many coats it would take for full opacity over long nails... that is the extreme disadvantage of having nubs. i used two coats for my mani, and am happy with the look! i'm thinking that three coats would probably give good coverage over long nails :) adding a shine topcoat really brings out all the sparkles!

two coats Heat Wave, one coat Seche Vite.

i'm looking forward to spending tomorrow with Mr. Pawlish... he's such a good sport, he's even going to come to my lesson again. then Saturday i leave for the horse show! what are you guys up to this weekend? Ria :)

  2. I love that color! Bright & summery. And I think your nails look better this length because you have longer nail beds & can pull off the long nail look without them being long. We're not doing anything special this weekend. Just hanging around the house.
