Pixi Fairy Light Solo Eyeshadows Clearanced At Target! (With Swatches!!)

had to run some errands yesterday that brought us to Target... i can't tell you how delighted i was to see the Pixi Fairy Light Solo Eyeshadows clearanced out... from $15 to only $4.50! i wanted to share with you all right away in case you're interested :) if your Target hasn't clearanced them out yet, keep checking!

here's a look at all of them in the pan...

and here they are all swatched on my arm! (they're in the same order :)

Boho Bronze and Nude Nouveaux pull a bit more purple than they look in the swatch! Boho Bronze was one i'd really been wanting, so i went ahead and bought it even though it didn't ring up at a discounted price... but i think these are being discontinued, so i'm not sure why! another Target i went to had not started clearancing Pixi, so take heart if yours aren't discounted yet.

are you going to try and pick these up? hope this post helps! Ria :)

Vaseline Spray & Go $2.00 Off Coupon!

the water was turned off again for a bit today... but thankfully for not nearly as long as yesterday! not sure how tomorrows going to go... it's lesson day, but the forecast is calling for loads of rain, so we'll see. if i don't ride, i will probably end up running errands... plus there are a few things i'd like to get from Ulta since i'm getting double points during my birthday month!

today i'd like to share a coupon with you all from Vaseline! a pr rep shared it with me, and i just had to share with you all as it's for a product i love, Vaseline Spray & Go (and other spray lotions from Vaseline and St. Ives!). i thought i'd done a post on it, but i guess not... i will do one soon :) Spray & Go is a moisturizer in aerosol form, i love it madly because it's not nearly as greasy as traditional moisturizer AND it's so easy to put on!

there are two way to get the coupon...

first, go to this link on Facebook and click on 'Click here to receive your $2.00 off coupon!'. a prompt to print should then come up!

second, if you are not into Facebook, you can use this link for just scroll down and the coupon should be one of the first ones! if you've never used before, all you need to do is click on 'clip' and then you'll be able to print it from the 'Print Coupons' tab!

let me know if you like posts like this... i love a bargain and am happy to pass along my finds with you all! Ria :)

Salon Perfect Touchy Feely

the water has been intermittently turned off today... it's currently off. you just don't appreciate running water until it's gone! looks like it will be off tomorrow, too... not sure what happened, but apparently there was some sort of pipe catastrophe in my neighborhood!

today's polish is the last i have to share with you all from the Salon Perfect Love, Lashes and Lacquer collection, Touchy Feely (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review!). it's a micro-glitter, full of black and white pieces... and they're matte! i love matte glitter, and this is no exception. you get really nice coverage with only one coat, but it is a little tough to work with as it wants to clump up. you will need to work fast and not go over the same spot too many times! it's near impossible to get this one super shiny, as it's one of those that somehow eats up the topcoat, but i do recommend adding a coat of topcoat to make sure the glitter is all sealed into place! i was so excited to put Touchy Feely over Salon Perfect In Love (also a press sample!)... LOVE pink with white and black :)

one coat Touchy Feely, one coat Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat, both over my Salon Perfect In Love mani.

i've really enjoyed trying out these polishes from Salon Perfect, a big thank you for the opportunity!

you can find this collection at select Walmart stores, retailing for $3.98. also check out to see what else is in their line!

Happy Monday! Ria :)

Salon Perfect In Love

it's a lazy Sunday at home... working on getting things straight in my mind for what needs to be done next week! i think Monday i will spend going through clothes... definitely need to edit what's coming with me to Maryland.

today's polish is Salon Perfect In Love from their Love, Lashes and Lacquer collection (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review!). In Love is aptly named... it's a lovely bright pink creme. i have lots of polishes in similar shades, but this one stands out for it's opacity... i love that it's an opaque, straight creme. so many of this color lean towards jelly, which makes them sheer. only two coats are needed for a fully opaque, yummy pink mani! it dries super shiny on its own, but i needed topcoat to help it dry.

two coats In Love, one coat Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.

if you are looking for a creme pink, you won't be disappointed in this one!

you can find this collection at select Walmart stores, retailing for $3.98. also check out to see what else is in their line!

check back tomorrow for the last of the Salon Perfect polishes i have to share with you all! Ria :)

Salon Perfect One Love Top Coat

nothing exciting today, just a few errands. tried to pick out a medic alert bracelet... but neither Mama Pawlish nor i could make a decision. she's got diabetes and i have a few things that need to be listed... but it's really hard to pick one! most are ugly, but i found a website that i think i'm going to order from that's more geared to modern looks.

today's polish is Salon Perfect One Love Top Coat from their Love, Lashes, and Lacquer collection (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review!). i put it over top of Salon Perfect He's With Me (also provided for review) to get a really easy to do party look. One Love is a glitter top coat that is chock full of multiple sizes of iridescent hex pieces. it's really easy to apply, with very little placing needed. you can see that the larger pieces are a bit sparse on my pinkie, but mostly the coverage is pretty even! i generally put glitters of this color over black, but it's pretty fun over red! you'll want to add a clear topcoat to really bring out the sparkle.

one coat One Love, one coat Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat, both over my Salon Perfect He's With Me mani.

you can find this collection at select Walmart stores, retailing for $3.98. also check out to see what else is in their line!

Happy Friday! Ria :)

Salon Perfect He's With Me

had a great riding lesson yesterday, i think some things have finally clicked... and even if they didn't, i stayed on! can't really complain too much as long as you didn't take a dirt bath :D ran errands with Mama Pawlish today, and did some swatching from Salon Perfect!

today's polish is Salon Perfect He's With Me from their Love, Lashes, and Lacquer collection (it is a press sample that was kindly provided to me for review!). this polish is STUNNING. it's a super sparkly red shimmer that just picks up light from every angle. the first coat was a bit patchy, but it was perfectly opaque and gorgeous at coat two. you will want to add topcoat to bring out all this polish has to offer!

two coats He's With Me, one coat Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat.

you absolutely can't get the gorgeousness of this polish in a picture... i took buckets and none of them really show how awesome this polish is!

you can find this collection at select Walmart stores, retailing for $3.98. also check out to see what else is in their line!

hope you are having a great week! Ria :)

February 2014 ipsy Glam Bag

spent the past two days packing... movers will pack everything, but there were some things that i wanted to pack, so i know they have the best chance of making it through the move! tomorrow i have a riding lesson, i think i'm just going to be going to lessons now since my friend is back and i feel like i have so much to do... the movers come on the 17th!

today i'm happy to share my February 2014 ipsy Glam Bag with you all! i liked this one much better than last month, which is always nice :) i definitely prefer receiving cosmetics to random beauty products! and the bag this month is SO cute... i would have preferred the adorable pink leopard lining to be on the outside, though :D

a peep in the bag... i folded it down so you can see the glorious lining!

i'm always happy to have a nail polish, and i've always wanted to try Mally cosmetics, so i was really delighted to find one of her liners!

i love POP beauty, glad to have one of their glosses! i really like the colors in the Jesse's Girl eye shadow palette, although i might pass that one along. interested in trying out the Uberliss hair oil!

can't believe just how fast time is flying by! this time next month my house will be full of boxes... and not much light since there isn't much overhead lighting. i'm thinking we will move into the downstairs for the interim! Ria :)

Bundle Monster Plate BM-H16

well, to set off yesterday's great ride, i went right over the handlebars in front of a jump! luckily, i landed on my feet for the first time ever :) my friend that was teaching me figured out that my arms are just so short, that i really have to lean to grab the mane... which means i'm in the wrong position to jump. got to have my trainer work with me on that! was kind enough to send me Bundle Monster plate BM-H16 as a little Valentine's surprise! so, of course, i just had to try it out for V-Day. i used it over my Butter London Pillar Box Red, stamping with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Go for Gold (those Insta-Dri polishes are my faves to stamp with!). i finished the whole look off with Butter London Hardwear :)

the plate has a love motif, and is just adorable... here's a look!

the next two images are of the 'love' and 'Hug Me' stamps, i put them on my thumbs!

and finally... the rest of my nails!

you can find this plate for $4 (and so much more) at! i am so thankful for the opportunity to play with this plate :)

this is my first ever Bundle Monster plate, and i have to say i'm not disappointed... i will definitely have to buy some more! hope you're having a great weekend! Ria :)

Butter London Pillar Box Red

i hope you all had great Valentine's Days! i dragged Mama Pawlish to the barn with me so i could ride bareback... so my day was great :) Mr. Pawlish and i never go out for Valentine's, we just hate fighting the crowds! so we're having a nice night at home :)

today's polish is Butter London Pillar Box Red. it's really nice red creme with a lot of pigmentation... i've found many reds this color to be quite sheer. this one could almost be a one coater, but i did prefer two! it dries shiny on its own, but i like it even more with topcoat! i'm still trying out different topcoats, today i used the original Butter London one... i do feel that it doesn't make things quite as even as Seche Vite.

one coat Butter London Nail Foundation, two coats BL Pillar Box Red, one coat Butter London Hardwear.

check back tomorrow to see what stamping designs i had for Valentine's! Ria :)

Julep Maven :: February 2014 It Girl Box

i feel like i'm spending all my time at the dentist! i've been all three days this week, first for fillings, then for a cleaning, then today to get impressions for some new mouth guards... i grind my teeth really badly in my sleep. happily, i shouldn't have to go back for a few weeks, til the mouth guards arrive. i'm trying out the Vivera retainers... anybody use those? want a review?

today's the day to peep in my February 2014 Julep Maven It Girl box! it will probably be my last one... i've found that they tend to repeat similar colors (of course... there aren't but so many colors possible!). this one had a special polish as the extra treatie... that's my fave kind!

here's a look in the box...

i love that the special polish has gold cap... so snazzy!

i'm really enjoying riding the horse my friend leases while she's out of the country... he's a really good boy! hope you all are having fantastic weeks! Ria :)

Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer

headed to the dentist this morning... seven filling turned into nine :( i'm just glad i got them over with! this dentist's office is pretty strange, i have to go back again tomorrow to get them cleaned... i can't believe how the office splits everything up! happily, it's not until the afternoon so i can get out to the barn in the morning... it's dried out enough to at walk/trot :)

today i wanted to share Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer with you all! it's been getting a lot of hype, so i just had to try it for myself. i've now used the whole bottle, so i feel comfortable reviewing it! it's a facial moisturizer that contains SPF 30 and is supposed to help control oil throughout the day... it's also supposed to be formulated with acne-prone skin in mind. it's non-comedogenic, oil-free, and fragrance-free!

the good part of this is the sunscreen, i can use it on its own unless i'm going to be in really bright sunlight for extended periods of time... then i would need an additional sunscreen. i like how light the moisturizer is, definitely more of a lotion than a cream. it claims to be absorbed quickly and to provide a matte finish... i do feel it absorbs quickly, but it does not provide a matte finish at all, at least on my skin! i'm extremely oily, so i had high hopes for this... but as a whole, i'm disappointed. i do think it moisturizes well, but i didn't really experience any oil control with it. i found i was just as oily as the hours went by as with most lotion type facial moisturizers. this is one i won't be repurchasing!

a look at the packaging... i LOVE that it came with a pump!

and here's a look at what the product claims to do.

if you are interested in trying this product out, it can be found in most drugstores, as well as places like Ulta, Target, and Walmart! it generally retails for a little under $20.

have you tried this one out? what did you think? Ria :)

Awesome Reasons To Become An ULTAmate Rewards Member!

still plugging away at getting ready to move! riding lessons were cancelled yesterday due to the rain, hoping to get some riding in next week :) Mr. Pawlish and i went to the mall and ate at CPK... not too exciting, but a great day anyway. i finally gave in and bought the MAC 217 and 239 eye brushes... i just don't think they have been matched!

today i wanted to share with you some awesome reasons to join Ulta's ULTAmate Rewards. you get points for every dollar you spend, and get different amounts to spend in the store, depending on much you let your points build up! at 2000 points you get $125 to spend... so it's worth it to me to just let them roll on up :) you used to be able to get salon services with your points, but that is being discontinued in February of this year.

during your birthday month, you get a coupon for $10 towards anything in the store, even prestige brands! and the best part... you now get a free, full-size CK One Mascara in your birthday month! this is my birthday month, and i've already redeemed both :D i'm so excited to try this mascara as i've yet to try anything from the CK One line, which is from Calvin Klein and exclusive to Ulta.

here's a look at the packaging...

the coolest thing about this mascara is the wand... you can change the size of the brush to change application!

and here's a look at the brush in both positions... very clever!

if you're interested, you can either join in store, or online here. even better than the mascara... it's free! i'm not affiliated with Ulta in any way, i'm just a big fan of the store :)

are you an ULTAmate Rewards member? Ria :)

FingerPaints Kaleidoscope Collection Haul!

today was the first day the footing at the barn would have allowed for riding... and wouldn't you know, it rained again! can't really complain, because California so desperately needs the rain. i spent the day at home, going through things to be donated... got to get rid of stuff before the big move!

i was beyond excited to see this FingerPaints Kaleidoscope collection at Sally Beauty Supply the other day... i hadn't heard anything about it, and it's a collection of five flakies! you all know i have a tendency to hoard flakies (i'm trying to be better!) so, i just had to see how these new ones compared to the original FingerPaints flakies. it looks like these are not as saturated in color as the originals, but i really haven't had a chance to play with them yet. i also apologize for not having a picture of the display... my brain is just not working lately!

here they are!!

FingerPaints are exclusively available at Sally Beauty Supply, and i think they are buy one get one free this month! the Kaleidoscope collection is in the revamped packaging, which is an added bonus :D

Happy Thursday! Ria :)

The Wet Brush

it finally rained here in California... but sadly, only for one day. that day was enough, however, to drown the riding arenas, so i haven't been out to the barn this week. which has given me time to do stuff for the move... Jasper is now microchipped! Jewels already had one from the rescue, but both dogs are required to have one at the place we're moving to in Maryland.

in honor of rain, today's blog post is on The Wet Brush! i had been hearing about this brush on YouTube, and just had to try it for myself. it's pitched as being a detangling brush that doesn't snag and pull, especially in wet hair. since i have super fine hair that easily rats up and falls out, i figured mine would be a good test.

the brush works well in my dry hair, it slips through much more easily than a traditional brush and i love that it has a handle, unlike the Tangle Teezer. i'm noticing less fallout, too! the brush really shines when your hair is wet (as the name suggests!) i have never had anything glide through wet hair like this brush... it's like magic. i especially love using it to spread product throughout my hair when it's wet... just makes the process so much easier!

here's a look at the packaging!

and here's the back, which talks about the brush design :)

The Wet Brush itself!

from the side you can really see how thin the bristles are... and they are SUPER flexible.

i bought The Wet Brush from Ulta for a bit over $10... i've seen it at Sally Beauty Supply as well. you can also check out, here's a direct link to their products page! they have some other products i'm interested in checking out and The Wet Brush itself is available in loads of colors... i'm, of course, happy with the pink!

hope you are all having great weeks! Ria :)
