as promised, today i have a little Lauren B. Beauty nail art to share with you all! i used City of Angels as the base, and Where's My Oscar for the half moon. (both of them are press samples, kindly provided to me for review!).
i was sent a press release with steps on how to achieve the look... and here they are!
Step 1: Apply Lauren B. Beauty Nail Couture’s Dual Base Top Coat to the base of your nail and let dry.
Step 2: Paint the entire nail with two coats of Lauren B. Beauty Nail Couture’s City Of Angels and let dry.
Step 3: Create an accent nail on your ring finger by painting a gold half moon with Lauren B. Beauty Nail Couture’s Where’s My Oscar (TIP: Use a hole punch reinforcement sticker, available at office supply stores, as a stencil to make this quick and easy!)
Step 4: Shine and seal by applying the Dual Base Top Coat again and letting dry for 2 minutes.
since i don't have their Dual Base Top Coat, i used Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat (also a press sample). i actually used it over City of Angels to help it dry faster before i used the hole punch reinforcer as well as at the end to seal everything in! another little change i made is to do the half moon on all my nails, instead of just making one an accent. one big tip i have is to make sure the reinforcer is stuck down completely, you can see on some of my nails where the polish leeched up a bit. also, don't try and make it less sticky by sticking it on your skin first... you need all the stick it has to make it stay in place! i tried it that way first and the little things were flying everywhere :D
here it is!
you can find Lauren B. Beauty polishes at www.LaurenBBeauty.com, find them on all their social media through there! make sure to check out their Facebook :)
i hope you enjoyed this little mini nail art... it's a bit out of my comfort zone, and certainly didn't turn out perfectly... but i actually got compliments on it! other people aren't looking to see all the flaws. if you try this out, i would love to see it... feel free to post it on my Facebook page!
huge thanks to Lauren B. Beauty, i loved testing these beauties out! Ria :)
:: these polishes are press samples that were provided to me for review. these are my honest opinions. ::
