Peter Lamas Spa Sensuals Hand Care

got my riding lesson this afternoon! can't wait until i can go back to riding in the morning (except for lessons)... waiting all day just drives me crazy for some reason. the horses will be switching back to night turnout (spending the night outside) next month... then i can ride first thing without having a crazy mare to deal with :)

today i have the Spa Sensuals hand care range from Peter Lamas to share with you all! (they are press samples, kindly provided to me for review). i had never heard of this brand before, so i was excited to try these babies out... love new types of hand care! this range consists of two steps... Step 1 being the Rejuvenating Hand Scrub, and Step 2 is the Intensive Repair Hand Cream. i would definitely consider these luxury products perfect for a day of pampering!

here's a look at the products!

the Spa Sensuals Rejuvenating Hand Scrub is a thick scrub with sea salt particles that really scrub off all the dead, tired skin while the oils and shea butter moisturize. it also has Vitamins E and C for added nourishment. you only need to scrub for 15 seconds to get all the benefits! it has a nice citrusy smell which i personally really like. i love that it's really thick, you can turn the tub upside down and the scrub doesn't move at all!

here's a look at the scrub on my hand :)

then you're on to step two! Spa Sensuals Intensive Repair Hand Cream has the same rich citrus smell as the scrub, i love that they work together to make hands smell so yummy! this is a very moisturizing cream that does leave a bit of layer on my skin... not much, but i can feel a difference. it's quite smooth and doesn't leave any sort of stickiness. because of how thick the lotion is, this is one i would use at home or at night and not carry in my purse... it's perfect for pampering the hands and restoring moisture!

you can find Peter Lamas products at PeterLamas.com. both the Spa Sensuals hand care products retail for $21. THIS is a direct link to their bodycare page!

Happy Tuesday! Ria :)

Pixi March 2015 Makeup Samples Swatches & Reviews!

we've had a family friend in town the past few days, which was wonderful! that's probably one of the only things i like about being back on the East Coast, being close to old friends :) we had a so much fun just sitting around laughing... which is the best thing about old friends!

it's time for my favorite post of the month! show and tell with the makeup sample box from Pixi... and it didn't disappoint! (these products are press samples, kindly provided to me for review). this month's goodies were a face and eye palette and a plumping lip gloss.

here's a peek in the box!

let's start off with the palette! it's the Limited Edition Palette Bronzette in Summer Glow and comes with three faces powders and twelve eyeshadows! i love that all the products are powders, if i have a choice i much prefer palettes that are all powders as opposed to a mix of powders and creams. the packaging is simple, it opens from the side and the lid is clear. i like that the words you can see are actually printed on the palette and not just on the box it comes in! it comes with a double ended sponge applicator. i tried putting other brushes in there, but most will not fit. however, both my Pixi brushes are the right size! i love companies that make their products work together :)

here's the palette...

and a close up of the products!

now the face powders swatched...

and the shadows!

on to the gloss! it's a plumping gloss called LipLift Max and is a slightly milky clear color. i'm always afraid of plumping products because i'm really sensitive to the types that burn the lips... happily, this one just has a slight minty feel! this product uses peptides to 'hydrate, firm and plump to give lips a lift long-term.' (per press release). it also has aloe, jojoba, and chamomile so it's nice and moisturizing. this gloss has a thick feel to it, which i think makes it slightly sticky. not super sticky, but a little bit... so if you're really sensitive to that, try a tester at Target! i personally wear all glosses from completely smooth to shockingly sticky, so that's not a concern to me :)

the product itself... the wand has a traditional doe foot applicator.

next i wanted to show you the gloss at work! we'll start with my lips au naturale....

next up is right after i applied the gloss. it definitely instantly made them look bigger!

and finally, this is ten minutes after application. i didn't see a huge difference, but i do think it helped push out the lines in my lips and make them much less visible.

you can find Pixi products at Target stores, www.Target.com, and www.PixiBeauty.com!!

whew, that was a long post! thanks for sticking with me, Happy Thursday! Ria :)

Oil Essentials Nourish

man, i'm having an unlucky couple weeks! i fell off Echo due to snow falling off the roof of the indoor week before last. Sunday i was at a riding clinic while there was high winds... i was riding when the door suddenly FLEW open and BAM! there i was, on the ground again. i'm going to my private lesson today because i need to try out the dressage saddles i have on trial, but after that i'm taking the week off... my body is a bit upset with me ;)

today i have Oil Essentials Nourish to share with you all! (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review). i was super excited when Oil Essentials offered to send me another oil, i had previously purchased Oil Essentials Prevent and love it! read the Prevent review HERE. Nourish's scent is Seabuckthorn Berry and Borage... i don't really care for the smell, but Mama Pawlish LOVES it! i find Nourish to be more moisturizing than Prevent, but i'm madly in love with the Prevent smell :) Nourish is a great choice for really dry skin or hair.

here's a look at Nourish! i love how Oil Essentials oils come with a regular screw top and a dropper top, it gives you more use options. i prefer using the dropper as it gives me more control as to how much i'm using!

check out the Oil Essentials website... www.oilessentialsbeauty.com! Oil Essentials retail for $10.99 for 1.69 ounces in Rite Aid stores. you can also purchase them on the Rite Aid website... THIS is a direct link to the Oil Essentials search results so you can see what other types they have to offer! Oil Essentials products should also be in Walmart stores soon.

hope you're week is going really well and the weather is nice where you are! Ria :)

FingerPaints Picnic in the Park... Sweet Spring

got Echo measured to get her new saddle adjusted just for her today! i'm super excited to get it back, it's so good :D my saddle fitter left two used dressage saddles for me to try out... they will both work for her, so i'm hoping i like one!

today i have the last of the FingerPaints Picnic in the Park collection to share with you all... Sweet Spring! (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review). Sweet Spring is a medium toned pink creme, one of those shades that is close to the color of Pepto Bismol... which i happen to love ;) (the color, not the medicine!). it's a bit sheer, and can be slightly patchy, but i was really happy with the opacity and coverage at three coats. it dries shiny, but is even better with topcoat!

three coats Sweet Spring, one coat FingerPaints Gel-Like Top Coat. (both are press samples).

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website  www.SallyBeauty.com

what did you think of this collection? i love how it invokes feelings of warmth and sun... i'm so ready for winter to be over! Ria :)

FingerPaints Picnic in the Park... One In A Melon

well... we ended up with seven more inches of snow yesterday! it's pretty wild. i *think* we are finally done with it now though, the temperature is supposed to be in the 50sF next week! i got unloaded by Echo in my lesson Wednesday... always frustrating, but part of the process. it's been awhile since my last fall, so it's all good :)

One In A Melon is today's FingerPaints Picnic in the Park polish! (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review). this polish definitely makes me think of ripe, juicy watermelons, it's a saturated warm pink creme! application was so easy, two coats for full opacity and was the formula was quite simple to work with. it dries shiny on its own, but it's even better with topcoat!

two coats One In A Melon, one coat FingerPaints Gel-Like Top Coat. (also a press sample!)

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website  www.SallyBeauty.com

the next polish will be the last of the FingerPaints Picnic in the Park collection... and it's a light pink creme! i can't get enough of those bad boys! Ria :)

FingerPaints Picnic in the Park... You're So Antsy

ran some errands with Mama Pawlish this morning, nothing too exciting! her friend wanted some things from a store near us that she doesn't have in Virginia, so we and got them... Mama Pawlish liked the stuff so much that she got the same things! it was pretty funny to roll up to the checkout with two of everything... or maybe i'm just easily amused ;)

You're So Antsy is today's FingerPaints Picnic in the Park polish! (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's different sizes of matte white and matte black suspended in a clear base. i am really happy with how easily it applied, it spread easily and pretty evenly with minimal placing! this polish works best as a topper, i think you would have to use a lot of coats to get it opaque on its own. i layered it over FingerPaints Grassy Knoll (press sample) in order to get that ants in the grass vibe... it turned out really cute! definitely seal everything in with a topcoat, fast drying ones are perfect for layered manicures.

one coat You're So Antsy, three coats FingerPaints Grassy Knoll, finished off with FingerPaints Gel-Like Top Coat. (all are press samples!)

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website  www.SallyBeauty.com

looks like we might get anywhere from 1-8 inches of snow tomorrow... we're apparently right on the line so it could either way! stay warm! Ria :)

FingerPaints Picnic in the Park... Grassy Knoll

made it out to the barn yesterday, but was only able to walk up and down the road because there is still so much snow on the ground... which now how mud under it, so you just go sliding around if you try and ride on it. the snow is falling off the indoor arena in huge chunks and reallllly loud and scares the horses,  so that's out, too! and... we're supposed to have more ice today. give me snow any day over ice, that's so scary! however... snow should be here Thursday. i guess no one got the memo it's March?!

today's FingerPaints Picnic in the Park polish is Grassy Knoll! (it's a press sample, kindly provided to me for review). Grassy Knoll is a warm, light green creme, definitely a polish that makes me think Summer. i used three coats to get it completely even, but if you're using it as a base under glitter two should be fine! it dries shiny on its own, but like most polish, is even better and glossier with topcoat.

three coats Grassy Knoll, one coat FingerPaints Gel-Like Top Coat. (also a press sample!)

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website  www.SallyBeauty.com

jump lesson tomorrow in the Black Country saddle i'm trialing... fingers crossed it goes well! i really want this to be THE saddle :D

Happy Tuesday! Ria :)
