today we are checking out FingerPaints Shut The Front Salvador! (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). the name makes me giggle, it's so clever. the stable hand who works at my barn is actually from El Salvador... but that's about all i know about it. i remember learning about it in the four (!!) years of Spanish i took in high school... but apparently none of it stuck!
ANYWAY! Shut The Front Salvador is a fun, warm pink creme. it actually really makes me think of strawberry milk... i haven't had strawberry milk in forever, so i'm sure if it is actually as pink as this polish is or not :) the formula can be a little streaky... i ended up using three coats, but i think it will depend on how you apply it and the temperature/conditions in your house as to whether you will need one or two. it dries down shiny, but i definitely needed a fast dry top coat to dry those layers!
Shut The Front Salvador is actually from FingerPaints new line of polishes called Hard As Steel, which are meant to be strengthening nail colors... but since i need to change my polish so much, it's hard for me to tell a difference with color polishes. basecoats are much easier to test :) let me know if you tested these out and what your results have been!
three coats Shut The Front Salvador, one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.
FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website www.SallyBeauty.com!
got any fun plans this week? i'm riding, so fun plans for me!
Happy Monday! Ria :)
