FingerPaints Project Runway... Beverly's Touch

i don't know what is going on with the wind around here! it's still windy here today... thankfully, no 50mph gusts so i can actually ride Echo. other than the wind it's absolutely beautiful... sunny and not too warm or too cold. i wish it would stay like this forever :D

today's FingerPaints Project Runway polish is Beverly's Touch (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's a gorgeous gold foil that makes it look like you have golden metal nails... it's yummy! it applies so easily, you could maybe get away with one coat, but i prefer two. only thing to be careful of is visible brushstrokes... it doesn't make them as easily as some, and in bright light you won't see them at all. *sigh* i really love foils :) to bring out all the sparklies, make sure to use a shiny topcoat!

two coats Beverly's Touch, one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website www.SallyBeauty.com! The Project Runway collection will be available April-June 2016.

Happy Wednesday! Ria :)

FingerPaints Project Runway... Lavender Love

today we have had a wind advisory... the wind here is just wild! the gusts are up to 50mph... it tried to yank my steering wheel right out of my hands. thus... did not go riding today. i'm hoping the winds will be gone for my lesson tomorrow!

today we are kicking off FingerPaints Project Runway collection with Lavender Love (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's a slightly dusty lavender creme with a great formula... super easy two coats for full opacity! this collection was chock full of great formulas... FingerPaints is awesome about that. it dries shiny on its own, but i need topcoat to dry any polish... and extra gloss never hurt anyone :D

two coats Lavender Love, one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website www.SallyBeauty.com! The Project Runway collection will be available April-June 2016.

happy to be reviewing this beautiful collection for you guys... not a stinker in the bunch! Ria :)

FingerPaints To The Plinth Degree

i'm so excited! My Big Fat Greek Wedding II came out today, and Mr. Pawlish and i are going tomorrow :D it's probably my favorite movie of all time, so i've been going out of my mind about a sequel with all the original actors 14 years later! can't wait!

today we have my fave color of neon polish... yellow highlighter neon! FingerPaints To The Plinth Degree (press sample, kindly provided to me for review) is that blindingly bright shade which looks just like a yellow highlighter marker. the best part of this polish is the formula... goes on SO easy and is opaque in two coats. it puts every other neon yellow i've ever used to shame! you definitely want to put it over a white creme polish... i highly recommend using FingerPaints Base Coat For Neons (press sample). the neon pigment dries down ultra matte so you will probably want to finish off with topcoat! a glossy finish makes the polish even more bright and fun :D

two coats To The Plinth Degree, used with Top & Base Coats For Neons.

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website www.SallyBeauty.com!

got one more fun neon to share, so check back soon! Happy Friday! Ria :)

FingerPaints Clay On Words

another gorgeous day here! headed over to the barn and worked hard on getting rid of Echo's winter coat... thank goodness for Furminators :D after that i gave her a bath, she is so sleek and shiny now, i love it! i feel like i spent the whole day removing animal hair... i also Furminated both dogs. it's amazing how much hair they lose when the weather warms up. but, now all my animals are looking gorgeous... totally worth it!

today i have FingerPaints Clay On Words to share (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's one of FingerPaints new neon polishes and it is nice and loud... it's a super bright salmon shade with very subtle golden shimmers. once applied over the opaque white basecoat of FingerPaints Base Coat For Neons (press sample) it is streaky on coat one, but completely evens out on coat two. the neon pigment dries very matte, so topcoat is a must!

i'm so frustrated with this swatch photo... i took tons, and i just couldn't get any to come out the right color. for some reason the pink neon pigment just threw off the camera... basically, it's bright like the picture, but it has a lot more pink tones!

two coats Clay On Words, used with Top & Base Coats For Neons.

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website www.SallyBeauty.com!

i'm such a huge fan of neons, they are just happiness in a bottle! Ria :)

FingerPaints Top Coat & Base Coat For Neons

i'm a bit O.O, i can't believe it's been a week since my last post! don't know how a week got away from me... but... here i am :) it was absolutely beautiful here today, i had to deal with some medication stuff so i didn't get out to the barn, but i spent a long time outside with my doggies and it was perfection. hope the Spring sticks around this time!

i'm super excited to share a couple new products from FingerPaints with you all... a Top Coat and Base Coat specifically made for neon polishes (they are press samples, kindly provided to me for review)! i feel like this is one of the most genius ideas... and i love it! the Base Coat For Neons is my fave of the two... it's an opaque white creme basecoat that makes your neons pop and helps protect your nails from staining. for me, it's perfection because it makes for less layers because you no longer need to add regular white creme polish over your basecoat to pop your neons! the Top Coat For Neons makes your neon polish shiny (neon pigment almost always dries to a dull matte finish) and has a UV protectant in it to help keep your neons from fading and to 'stay brighter, longer' (press release). my issue with the Top Coat For Neons is that it dries very slowly on me... i really do prefer a fast dry topcoat! perhaps the UV protectant keeps it from drying quickly? for me, the must have product of the two is the Base Coat For Neons! i will definitely be using it under all my neon manis from now on :D

here they are!

FingerPaints polishes are sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply and their website www.SallyBeauty.com!

the next few days will show off these products along with some new permanent neon shades from FingerPaints! Ria :)

China Glaze House of Colour... Moonlight The Night

today was absolutely gorgeous! rode Echo and we just did walkies today... the sun went behind the clouds and light breeze sprung up so it was absolutely perfect conditions. glad we did our fitness work yesterday when it was hot... we really need to get used to working in the heat again.

can't believe today brings the last of the China Glaze House of Colour polishes... it's Moonlight The Night (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's a super cool glitter, this polish is the one that grabs my eye most from the bottle. it has different sized pieces of iridescent hex glitter set in an ultra sheer blue base. there isn't much placing to be done with this polish, and i love how two coats looks over an opaque polish. getting this opaque on its own would take quite a few coats, and i think you pretty well capture the look just by layering it :) i put it over an ultra light pink creme, China Glaze Let's Chalk About It (press sample), which is also from House of Colour. make sure to use topcoat to seal in the look and bring out all the dimensions this baby has to offer!

two coats Moonlight The Night..., over two coats Let's Chalk About It, all finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat. (photo taken in shade!)

you can find the China Glaze House of Colour collection in Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply... make sure to check out China Glaze on their website, www.ChinaGlaze.com!

wow, i can't believe this collection is over... it seems to have gone by really fast! i'm so thankful i got the opportunity to review it for you all :)

China Glaze House of Colour... Glitter Me This...

Echo and i did another fitness day today... both of us were big time struggling at the end! after that, she got a bath. she does NOT appreciate baths. however, she was absolutely filthy, and i just had to take advantage of such a beautiful day! tomorrow we will just do some walking... which i thought we would be doing today, but when i got there i was feeling having another workout. so sore... which makes me so happy! grow muscles grow :D

we've come to the two glitters in the China Glaze House of Colour collection, today's is Glitter Me This... (press sample, kindly provided to me for review)! it's a lovely glitter topper with different sized gold and white hex pieces in a clear base. the sizes range from micro-glitter to big ol' chunks! this one does require a bit of placing, and you will absolutely have to place the giant bits. not sure why giant bits are like that, but every polish i've ever used with them acts the same way! i layered it over Pink Or Swim (press sample also from House of Colour) which is a light, warm pink... and i love the combo. as with all glitters, it needs to be sealed with topcoat to make sure all the bits stay in place.

one coat Glitter Me This..., over two coats Pink Or Swim, all finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat. (taken in shade so you can really see all the pieces that make up the polish!)

you can find the China Glaze House of Colour collection in Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply... make sure to check out China Glaze on their website, www.ChinaGlaze.com!

can't believe tomorrow is the last polish from House of Colour... it's a gorgeous glitter, definitely not one to miss ;)

Happy Wednesday! Ria :)

China Glaze House of Colour... Come Rain Or Shine

i'm loving all this sunshine! Echo and i worked on our fitness today... basically, we're embarrassingly out of shape for jumping. luckily, that's easily fixed! looking forward to getting us in better condition and to working hard on really upping our jumping game :D

today's China Glaze House of Colour polish is Come Rain Or Shine (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's a royal blue shot through with with pink shimmers... basically, it's stunning! easy application and two coats brings you to full opacity... try to keep your brushstrokes even, if you get some visible ones you don't want any wobblers :) the pink shimmer is a bit shy indoors or in the shade... but it is in your face in the sunlight! i love it so much!! definitely add topcoat to bring out all this baby has to offer.

two coats Come Rain Or Shine, finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

you can find the China Glaze House of Colour collection in Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply... make sure to check out China Glaze on their website, www.ChinaGlaze.com!

we only have two polishes left in this collection... and they are GLITTERS! Ria :)

China Glaze House of Colour... Shut The Front Door!

pretty happy with how my jumping lesson with Echo went today... bummed because i'm still having my neurological spells more often which causes several issues, so i had to cut my lesson a little short again. i tend to get these bad spells in waves... so i'm hoping the wave will break soon! glad i was able to have my lesson today, as it was a perfect spring day... and tomorrow we will be jumping into summer at 78F and humid :D

Shut The Front Door! is today's China Glaze House of Colour polish (press sample, kindly provided to me for review)! it's a pinky purple shimmer... i'm really not even sure which side to call it on! i think it's a bit more pink than purple... but it could go either way :) it goes on easy and is opaque in two coats... just watch out for brushstrokes... it's a typical shimmer in that you can easily get a few! it doesn't dry shiny, so make sure to add a high shine topcoat to bring out all those sparklies :)

two coats Shut The Front Door!, finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

China Glaze House of Colour... Chrome Is Where The Heart Is

nothing real exciting to report from this weekend... did a bit of shopping yesterday and went to church this morning, then lunch with friends. i love it when a lot of people are available after church to come out to eat! my family always used to lunch with another family after church when i was a kid, this just continues those happy memories :)

today's China Glaze House of Colour polish is Chrome Is Where The Heart Is (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's a light pink chrome with an almost taupey undertone... DOES IT GET BETTER THAN THAT?! i love it! it's easily opaque in two coats, but make sure to watch out to keep your brush strokes even because brush strokes are a little visible indoors. outside... it just gleams and sparkles like yummy pink metal! it doesn't dry very glossy, it looks better with topcoat... with the added benefit of extending the wear time.

two coats Chrome Is Where The Heart Is, finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

you can find the China Glaze House of Colour collection in Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply... make sure to check out China Glaze on their website, www.ChinaGlaze.com!

my riding lesson got moved to tomorrow instead of Tuesday... hopefully it doesn't rain and we can jump outside again! i feel like we've stuck in the indoor for months... which, we actually have. come on, Spring!! Ria :)

China Glaze House of Colour... Sorry I'm Latte

spent a good chunk of time today with Mr. Pawlish getting our taxes done. it was a bit brutal, and things were wrong... and i got really frustrated. i really can't stand taxes!! thankfully, the people working with us were really nice, so i think we're sorted. *fingers crossed*

on to much happier things! today's China Glaze House of Colour polish is Sorry I'm Latte (press sample, kindly provided to me for review)! latte describes it quite well, it's a pale brown beige creme like really looks like coffee with milk in it. it's easy to work with, two coats and you're at full opacity! on my ultra fair skin, this reads as a nude/neutral. on some skin tones it would work for a perfect mannequin hand (one of my fave looks). it's perfect neutral color that would be great for those who work in a more conservative setting!

two coats Sorry I'm Latte, finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

you can find the China Glaze House of Colour collection in Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply... make sure to check out China Glaze on their website, www.ChinaGlaze.com!

here's to a fantastic weekend! Ria :)

Pixi Sample Box February 2016

i was so happy to finally have a jumping lesson in the outdoor arena! it's been months since we've been able to jump outside, so it was bliss. i didn't get to do as much as i wanted because i had one of my neurological spells yesterday, and it was still lingering on today. but i figured that discretion was probably the better part of valor... live to jump another day :D

excited to be sharing the February Pixi blogger sample box with you guys! this one had a moisturizer and two lip products... as always, testing them out was so fun :)

here's the box itself!

first up, lets check out the moisturizer!

Glowtion Day Dew ($22) is part of Pixi's Skintreats line, it's a moisturizer for the face that gives you an amazing glow. it's so glowy that you can even use it as a highlighter! it's glides over the skin and absorbs quickly. i love it as a day cream, but it's not heavy enough for me to use a night cream. i was a bit put off by just how much gleam you get when using it as a moisturizer... but i find myself grabbing for it quite a bit. it in addition to having a strong pink-toned sheen, it has TINY pieces of glitter. it's not noticeable on the face, but i know some people hate glitter in face products! the scent is very herbal, and dissipates quickly leaving no smell. i really wish it had some sunscreen in it, though!

here's a swatch of Glowtion Day Dew... with a sneaky peek of the next product :D

the lip products are Mattelustre Lipstick in Raspberry Blush ($12) and Lip Contour Liner in Invisible Smudge-Stopper ($12).

Mattelustre Lipstick in Raspberry Blush is a red cream with a pretty shiny finish... i still don't quite understand the Mattelustre name. it can be a little patchy in application, but a few swipes should even it out! Lip Contour Liner in Invisible Smudge-Stopper is a completely clear lipliner that you can use with any lipstick to keep it from moving outside your lip line! if you go over it with lipstick it might sheer your lipstick out a little bit, so be aware of that in your application.

here's the two products on my lips!

you can find Pixi products at Target stores, www.Target.com, and www.PixiBeauty.com!!

getting my taxes done with Mr. Pawlish tomorrow... hope you guys have something way more fun to do! Ria :)

China Glaze House of Colour... Pink Or Swim

Mr. Pawlish got promoted today to Lt. Commander in the US Navy! i'm so proud of him :D he had a lovely ceremony at our church, with a big cake afterwards. i'm a HUGE fan of cake! i'm so happy that his Mom's family was able to make it, made it even more special :)

today's China Glaze House of Colour polish is Pink Or Swim (press sample, kindly provided to me for review). it's a lovely salmon pink, very warm and appropriate for those us of yearning for Spring! it's a bit patchy on coat one, evens out easily to full opacity on coat two! it's nice and shiny on its own... but i still add topcoat to help dry it and extend wear time.

two coats Pink Or Swim, finished off with one coat Salon Perfect Crystal Clear Top Coat.

you can find the China Glaze House of Colour collection in Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply... make sure to check out China Glaze on their website, www.ChinaGlaze.com!

really enjoying sharing this collection with you all... the colors are just so happy! Ria :)
