Vendome Beaute Eye Shadow Three Well Palettes

i'm just loving this temperate weather in February! it's so lovely :) i haven't been out to the barn the past couple days though, Mr. Pawlish had the day off yesterday, and Mama Pawlish is sick :( i took her to the doctor yesterday... but they're just not sure what the issue is. i'm hoping she will be feeling better tomorrow so that i can go to work at the barn... but we'll see. i really hope she just feels better, period!!

i have a new brand to share with you guys! Vendome Beaute :) right now it's mostly eye shadows, but there are other products in the works. they were kind enough to send me five of their Three Well Palettes to try out and review!

the palettes are shiny black with Vendome Paris printed in metallic silver on the top. there are three magnetic wells inside, with tiny holes in the very back of the palette to make it easy to remove pans and swap them around!

here are the Three Well Palettes :)

i wasn't sure what to expect as these palettes are quite spendy at $75, and the individual shadows retail for $26. they are are really nice, though! they swatch fairly ewell, but go on the eye even better, are quite pigmented, and they blend SO easily. the ease of blending is definitely my favorite part as some shadows are very pigmented but don't want to blend together and stay harsh looking on the eye. Vendome Beaute Eye Shadow easily becomes a cohesive look!

i tried these both with a primer and without... they stayed perfect all day with the primer. without, there was very little creasing and fading... i was impressed! i was also impressed with how well the shadows actually applied to my lids without a primer, sometimes my lids are very cranky about taking shadow. i did put them over the slightest, slightest dusting of face powder :) they can be applied wet or dry... but i just used them dry. i can't think of a time i've ever used any eye shadow wet, actually... it's just not for me.

here they are all swatched out, no primer :) they are in the same order as the palettes are above!

pretty impressive with no primer, right??

last up... here's a look i did with some of the warmer colors! i got a lot of compliments on this look... the colors are so beautiful! all i have on my eyes is Vendome Beaute shadows, primer, and mascara.

you can buy Vendome Beaute products from their website, www.VendomeBeauteFrance.com; their Etsy, www.etsy.com/shop/VendomeBeaute; and Amazon! you can also check them out on FacebookInstagram, and Linkedin :D

Pixi 24K Eye Elixir

today was absolutely lovely! it started out super cold but ended up being a really nice day to ride. my trainer and i took horses to a state park and worked them to get them more fit. i realized i am more fit than i thought i was... but nowhere near where i'd like to be! Tucker is also out of shape, so we will be doing conditioning work together :) we ended with a super fun, super fast gallop... i love to go fast, it's the best!

today i have Pixi 24K Eye Elixir (press sample) to share with you all! i've been using it for a couple months now, so i feel like i can really speak it its performance :)

24K Eye Elixir, an Energizing Peptide Serum, retails for $22. it's an eye treatment containing gold and collagen that removes puffiness and plump up fine lines... instead of a traditional cream, it's a clear liquid that is applied with a rollerball. i like the applicator, it's nice and cooling on your eye area. i've found that it definitely helps bring down the puffiness... almost instantly it seems like! while it helps right away, i haven't seen any long term effects, i still need to use it twice daily to keep my under eyes looking as good as possible. i follow the directions for under eyes about going from inner eye to outer, but i do go over it more times than they recommend... i prefer it to feel more cool and... producty feeling, i guess! i also do one roll right under my eyebrows to get that collagen in the upper eye area... can't hurt :) for my eyes 24K Eye Elixir alone is not moisturizing enough, so i use another eye cream over it at night. i love that i can use it under makeup and it doesn't roll up or get clumpy, it stays perfect... i've had a lot of trouble in the past with under eye products that don't play nice with makeup. i haven't decided quite yet whether i'll be purchasing this product after i run out... it goes on smoothly, but it does occasionally 'skip' and you have to roll it a bit more to get the serum flowing again. i just roll it against the inside of my nose until it gets going again... which is only a couple rolls. that's pretty much my only complaint about this product, actually :)

Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream

whew, the wind was howling all day here... i had to go to a doctor's appointment today and the wind was really pushing at the car! always feels so crazy when the wind is that strong. i'm hoping tomorrow will be nice so i can head over to the barn! it's looking like it might be windy tomorrow, too... i'm hoping it won't be, but we'll see :)

today i have Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream (press sample) to share with you all! it's the lighter night cream by Pixi... i reviewed their heavier duty, Nourishing Sleep Mask, HERE.

i love that this cream has a pump! pump's are absolutely my favorite dispenser for... pretty much anything :D this cream is lighter than the Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask, but still a very moisturizing lotion... i would definitely classify it as a lotion rather than a cream as it is fairly light. it feels really nice going and sinks into the skin. my favorite part about it is the scent. it's herbal and relaxing... exactly the type of smell that is perfect for bedtime. i prefer Sleep Cream over the Nourishing Sleep Mask because it's lighter... but the real clincher is the scent!

Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream retails for $24. you can find Pixi products at Target stores, www.Target.com, and www.PixiBeauty.com!!

Happy Monday! Ria :)

Pixi Nourishing Sleep Mask

today was super cold... just like yesterday. i worked at the barn all day yesterday and had quite enough of it, so i stayed home today! boy, do i miss the warm weather from earlier this week. i used the time to get lots of photography done for the blog :)

today i'm going to share Pixi's Nourishing Sleep Mask with you all! i've received a lot of Pixi for review lately (which will be reviewed over the coming weeks), but i purchased the Nourishing Sleep Mask myself :) it's a cream in a squeeze tube that you leave on overnight for extra moisturization!'

the Nourishing Sleep Mask ($22) is thick and very moisturizing, more so than an average night cream. however, it does sink into the skin and doesn't stay all oily feeling! that's important to me, i really hate that greasy feeling on my skin. you can use this product every night if you have very dry skin, or simply use it whenever you feel you need it. i generally use it between 1-3 times a week, depending on how my skin did during the day... sometimes my skin gets really flaky and gross on the chin (what a pretty thought!) which means i'll definitely be using it that night! i did use it every night at first, but my skin does okay with switching it out with a lighter moisturizer :D it does claim to have some anti-aging benefits, mostly it helps  the skin stay plump and firm... which makes it look younger. i'm definitely happy with how my skin is looking these days, but in fairness i do use a lot of products! it doesn't claim to reduce fine lines or wrinkles... but i swear my fine lines and forehead wrinkle are looking better... not sure whether it's from this product or not. i suspect it's from a combination of products... but my lines did seem to fill up more after starting to use Pixi night skin care. do keep in mind that it's not claiming to be an aggressively anti-aging product, and don't expect miracles... but i definitely think most people will notice nicely moisturized, happy skin if nothing else :)

you can find Pixi products at Target stores, www.Target.com, and www.PixiBeauty.com!!

CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat

we've had two absolutely amazing days... over 70F in February?! i LOVE it!! however, it might snow tomorrow and is supposed to be in the 30sF... how is that even possible o.O Mama Pawlish hasn't been feeling well, so i'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow, and i took her today already. she's having vertigo for some reason... i hope they can stop it, vertigo is horrible!

after testing out the CND Vinylux line and its promises, i have formed an opinion :) using their Weekly Top Coat on top of their Vinylux polishes did make my manicure look better much longer than usual.

these pictures are taken after one week with no touch-ups! compared to the amount of chipping i would usually have, there is very little. i did ride horses and do barn work during the week, so i wasn't just sitting around, either :D

Azure Wish (right hand/dominant hand)

Mint Convertible (left hand)

my complaint about the topcoat is that it doesn't stay ultra shiny throughout the by itself, it does dull. however, you can always just reapply to bring back the glossy! i did not as i wanted to see how it backed up its claims.

my issue with the whole line is that it seems to dry out in the bottle very easily... make sure you have put the cap back on VERY tightly. many of the bottles in the store has the polish dried into one gloopy chunk... i would definitely check to make sure it's nice and thin before buying!

in spite of those things... i do love the line and have bought more on clearance as i'm finding them :D

you can check out CND products on their WEBSITE. i will probably be buying their Vinylux line from Ulta and Ulta.com, where they retail for $10.50.

Happy Wednesday! Ria :)

Bliss Original Blue Body Bar

here i am! i'm loving how mild this winter is... after last year's brutal storm that dropped 3 feet (and that was only one storm!) i think a mild winter is well deserved. of course... i'm not a winter fan, so i'm always hoping for a mild one. it got up into the 50s today... and in February! crazy :D

today i want to share the Bliss Original Blue Body Bar with you all. i've been trying out a lot of Bliss products lately after scoring them on clearance at TJ Maxx. this one is a shower soap bar that is very moisturizing!

as you can see on the package, it claims to be a massaging soap. it does have nubbins on one side that do give a massaging effect... however, they wear off pretty quickly as you use the soap! then it's just a regular old bar of soap.

the soap has a nice spa like scent. while it does fade after showering, it doesn't completely go away and it's strong enough in the shower that you'll want to give it a sniff to make sure you like it before purchasing! what i love about this bar is that it's very moisturizing, i don't need to use a moisturizer after getting out of the shower. it does leave a little film on the skin, i think that's part of the moisture... rubbing the excess off though is what takes off your dead skin. i find a lot less dead skin still left on my body after using this... sometimes less than if i'd used a loofah or shower brush!

now... is this something i'd repurchase? i'm not sure. it's so slippery that it's always popping out of my hand and i'm having to chase it around, and it's messy sitting around in the shower. but... i do really love how it makes my skin feel and look! i still have quite a bit left, so i have a while to decide :)

Bliss Original Blue Body Bar retails for $15, you can get it HERE on Bliss' website. Bliss products are sold lots of places... but i would check TJ Maxx and Marshalls first :D

Happy Monday! Ria :)
